1 π First Stop: Zhan Bridge
Walk on the bridge and enjoy the distant view of the German-style architecture on land. The blue sky, clear waves, red tiles, and green trees create a beautiful scene! The end of the bridge is the Huilange Pavilion, which displays an introduction to Qingdao's characteristic buildings and is worth a visit.
2 π Second Stop: Yinyu Alley
Stroll through various cute shops that exude vitality! Beautiful sisters, pretty stores, each with aesthetic appeal, just walking in the alley makes you feel five years younger! There are many great spots for selfies, making the whole street very photogenic.
3 π Third Stop: St. Michael's Cathedral
The only consecrated church in the country, akin to a Buddhist blessing! A 10 RMB ticket allows you to enter the cathedral, where you can admire the beautiful stained glass windows and the magnificent murals on the dome.
4 π Fourth Stop: Signal Hill Park
A second visit to Signal Hill, climbing stairs and taking photos along the way, it takes only 10 minutes to reach the top. Overlook the old town of Qingdao, and on a good day, you can capture Xiaoyushan, Little Qingdao, and Zhan Bridge. If you are with the elderly or children, it is recommended to take a taxi to the north gate of Signal Hill for a more friendly route.
5 π Fifth Stop: University Road
Qingdao's number one internet-famous road, filled with former residences of celebrities, historical buildings, cultural and creative shops, and popular coffee shops. Follow this order to check in, and the route is very smooth.
β
Cartoon Street: A gathering of Hayao Miyazaki's movie IPs, including Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Ponyo, and The Wind Rises, satisfying for anime fans.
β
Beard Planet: The number one beverage shop in Qingdao, known for its delicious citrus jasmine flavored ice cream.
β
Lao She's Former Residence & Huangdao Bookstore: Two cultural landmarks. Lao She's former residence, also known as the Camel Xiangzi Museum, is where "Rickshaw Boy" was created. Huangdao Bookstore is a century-old bookstore loved by celebrities of the past, where Lao She often bought manuscript paper, earning the reputation of "Qingdao is not a deserted island."
β
Small Road Coffee/Giraffe Coffee: Two shops I've checked in 8 years ago, Giraffe Coffee is known for its distinctive road poles outside.
βοΈ Other check-in spots: The internet-famous wall on University Road, and the blue Qingdao at One Cup Coffee.
6 π Sixth Stop: Xiaoyushan
A 5-minute climb to the top, offering a 360-degree excellent viewing platform! Easier to climb than Signal Hill, with a panoramic view of Qingdao's beautiful scenery along the way.
7 π Seventh Stop: Lu Xun Park
Another seaside park, highly recommended to visit the hexagonal pavilion! With its checkerboard stone railings, it's retro and photogenic, and the waves, reefs, and shaded paths are also charming.
8 π Eighth Stop: Qinyu Road & Little Qingdao Park
Strolling along the coastline is very pleasant, half is the sea, and half is romance, don't miss the internet-famous S-bend! At the end of the road is Little Qingdao Park and the Naval Museum, which are worth a visit.
9 π Ninth Stop: Taidong Walking Street
I took the subway there, and the nightlife is so lively, with lots of delicious food!
β
Taidong Night Market: I went to Fu Xishan Korean Noodles, the portion is huge and delicious, and you must bring a cup of iced drink, it's especially refreshing.
β
Liqun Supermarket: Buy Laoshan Cola, Baihua Shecao Water, and Yingchunle local yogurt, feeling the abundance of local products.
From 2 pm to 9 pm, the entire walk is over 20,000 steps, a rich route that covers culture, nature, and cuisine! Remember to wear comfortable shoes and have a great time.
